Franklin Farm, a census-designated place in Fairfax County, Virginia, is a picturesque residential community characterized by its family-friendly atmosphere and well-maintained properties. While Franklin Farm is not a tourist destination itself, its charm lies in its tranquil ambiance, fostering a tight-knit community feel that appeals to those seeking a peaceful and neighborly living environment.

Frying Pan Farm Park: Just north on West Ox Road in Herndon, this Fairfax County park preserves farm life from the 1920s to the 1950s, with the animals of Kidwell Farm, a country store, a historic meeting house and a schoolhouse.
Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center: A few miles west in Chantilly, the Smithsonian’s hangar-sized air and space museum near Dulles Airport holds thousands of artifacts, from the SR-71 Blackbird to the B-29 Enola Gay.
