Leesylvania State Park: This 542-acre park on the Potomac River has five hiking trails, a fishing pier, a boat ramp, a visitor center and a sand beach, along with a Lee and Fairfax family cemetery and the site of a Civil War battery at Freestone Point.
Rippon Lodge Historic Site: Built around 1747 for Richard Blackburn, this Woodbridge house is one of the oldest known homes in Prince William County, with a family cemetery, formal gardens, walking trails and views of the Potomac.
Occoquan Bay National Wildlife Refuge: Where the Occoquan River meets the Potomac, this refuge protects grassland, wetland and upland habitats used by more than 200 bird species, and its grounds are open to visitors.
Featherstone National Wildlife Refuge: A 325-acre refuge of upland forest and freshwater tidal marsh in Woodbridge that can be reached only by canoe or kayak, from a launch at the south end of Farm Creek.
Veterans Memorial Park: A Prince William County park in Woodbridge beside Marumsco Creek, home to swimming, soccer, baseball and other leagues, with tennis and basketball courts, picnic areas and pavilions.
