Adelphi Mill: Built in 1796 on the Northwest Branch, the mill that gave Adelphi its name is the oldest and largest mill in the Washington area and has served as a community center since 1954.
Northwest Branch Trail: A paved trail of about 7 miles along the Northwest Branch between Hyattsville and Adelphi, ending just south of the Capital Beltway near the Adelphi Mill.
University of Maryland: The university’s main campus in neighboring College Park is home to the Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center, which presents music, theater and dance by students and visiting artists.
Lake Artemesia Natural Area: A 38-acre lake in College Park and Berwyn Heights, created in the late 1980s alongside the Metro Green Line, with a 1.35-mile hiker-biker loop and fishing piers.
